Horsemanship 101
Learning horsemanship skills the Master

Horsemanship 101 camp  is coming to know God better through learning about horses. The campers will be learn much about horses and the care for them.  This camp is offering  basic horsemanship from the Master. God uses these beautiful animals to teach us many life lessons, as well as Biblical application.
   They will learn that in grooming their horse they are developing a heart connection and friendship. This is the core of the lessons to be learned, as God has desire to have a heart connection with us. They will learn about the horses body parts, the different pieces of tack, how to lead their horse and participate in group activities that encourage age-appropriate group interaction and play.


What To Bring: 
  • Bible ·
  • Backpack with name on it ·
  • Old Towel ·
  • Long pants and boots are sturdy tennis shoes
  • Hat and water bottle  

We Will Provide:
  • Sunscreen and bug spray
  • Cold water
  • Snacks and juice at break
  • Handouts everyday
  • Arts and Crafts items



In utilizing Equine Assisted Therapies and Learning over the past 12 years, God has opened my eyes and heart to the  many lessons He teaches through working with these big and beautiful animals. I am sharing what God has taught me in this camp.
 
The week will include:

Day1Prey vs Predator—Coming under God’s protection, safety rules , herd observation

Day 2 Our Bodies as Temples—Grooming and horse body parts

Day 3Submitting to God—Leading your horse unto submission

Day 4 The Armor of Christ—Learning to tack up your horse

Day 5Knowing the Holy Spirit—Spirit Horse , painting on their horses and bathing them

Primary Objectives of Camp:

  • To teach primary horsemanship including grooming, leading, bathing, body parts, and all the pieces of tack used to ride a horse
  • To assist in age-appropriate developmental skills by learning to read a non -verbal beings ( the horse) and having to work as a pair with each horse
  • To reinforce age-appropriate social skills by participating in group activities
  • To come to understand God in a more real and personal way

Cost of Program:

  • $150.00 per week for one child
  • $250.00 per week for two children (siblings)
